As a family business, all of whom have been born in Sherborne we have adopted a valued principle of helping to sustain the local business community, so when you sample one of our superb wines, you should be safe in the knowledge that it has been specially selected by Sedgemoor drinks of Bridgewater, or if you chose a meat dish from one of our freshly cooked to order meals, that its come from Peter and Richard at Parsons, that our herbs and spices have come from Julia at Verbena, and where possible our fish has been caught along the Dorset coast and delivered by M & J Seafood's Ltd.

A wealth of historical architecture and a maze of narrow roads can only prepare the visitor in part for the magnificent showpiece at the centre of this gentle Dorset town. Sherborne Abbey, built of the rich creamy Ham stone quarried across the county border in Somerset, is visually striking in colour, size and architectural detail. Incorporating features from Saxon, Norman and Perpendicular periods gives an important indicator to the various forms this building has taken over the last 1200 years.
