Avalon is an elegant Edwardian townhouse at the centre of the historic monastic town of Sherborne. Although we have undertaken extensive refurbishment and modernisation, the character and feel of the house has been preserved. Many original features, such as the open fire in the lounge, have been retained and the small gardens redesigned to create a sense of space.

We support local artists, artisans and producers whenever we can - there are so many wonderful products on Dorset's doorstep and in the rest of Great Britain too. We only work with overseas companies we know personally and who have ethics that are kind to the world we live in and the people in it.

Established in 1978 by Marion and Jeff Archer, M&J Seafood grew organically to become the UK's largest independent seafood supplier by the 1990s, and is now a member of Europe's largest foodservice business, the Brakes Group.

Ideally located on the Dorset and Somerset border it has excellent transport links enabling the town to flourish.

The Fine Food Company has built up a reputation of supplying speciality food and market fresh produce available from New Covent Garden, Smithfield and Rungis Markets. Local producers are also used for a variety of products including Game and specialist produce.
